Ilorin Master plan committee Engages Stakeholders at 2-day Technical Workshop
The Ilorin Master Plan Committee has solicited support of the stakeholders towards the design of new master plan for Kwara State Capital.
The Chairman of the committee, Abdulmutalib Shittu while speaking at the two-day Technical Workshop explained that the Ilorin Urban Master Plan will focus on all major sectors which include tourism, trade and investment, transportation, education, agriculture, health care, delivery, environment, green/open spaces, housing and sustainable development.
Shittu noted that the ongoing design of another master plan is the second since the creation of Kwara state.
According to him, the first designed in 1976 and expired 21 years ago. This huge project will address the issues of growing population in Ilorin, plans for road expansion, wastage disposal/management and other aspects that make decent human living possible.

In-Field data collection and stakeholder Engagement, Population estimates and projections, Urban and Rural conditions, Institutional Framework and Social Infrastructure as well as Economic baseline and emerging prospect for the capital city.

Community Development Council Ilorin West LGA,
Market women Oja oba (Iya loja General),
Market women ipata market, IEDPI, Manufacturers Association Nigeria, Institute of Town Planning, Nigerian Association of Engineers, Transmission Company Of Nigeria, Transport Association, Water Corporation and representatives from Ministries of Justice, Energy, Health, Enterprise, Finance & Planning and Communications
