We have never had it so Good in Kwara Before, KPMO

The Kwara Progressive Media Organization has endorsed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State for a second term.

This is as the organization urged Kwara indigenes and residents not to believe the Peoples Democratic Party’s promises.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, Usman Yunusa Lade made this disclosure on Monday during a press briefing to discuss the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman led administration in the state and some adjustments in the KPMO structure.

He noted that for the 16 years reign of the main opposition party, no meaningful development was brought in the state.

According to him, it would be unfortunate if innocent youths were swayed by the PDP.

KPMO said as part of its restructuring, it has changed its name from Kwara APC New Media to Kwara Progressive Media Organization, stating that the changes are aimed at restructuring the activities and mode of operations regarding All Progressives Party vision.

“We also want to assure you that as a progressive party that is governed by rule of law, civility, and respect for Kwarans, we will not be and cannot be distracted by a mere press briefing and reckless statements by the so-called Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a leading opposition in the State, the same party “

Group of Egyptians’ that orchestrated and supervised the breakdown of all critical infrastructures, the collapse of basic education, socioeconomic status and standard of living of all Kwarans through the mismanagement of our common resources.”

He added, “never again! We urge Kwarans to reflect and recall that the PDP had, in its 16 years of misrule, pushed, the State into a dark ditch of insolvency, and a period in which all the local governments could not pay workers’ salaries, Pensions, and gratitude, not even the minimum wage, or settle contractors bills and cater for the welfare of civil servants and students alike. If the PDP has any iota of shame at all, commending Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration through prudence and economic management skills to pay salary backlogs, pensions, and gratuities and embark on large-scale infrastructural development projects that have stimulated the economy and exited the era of insolvency and rigidity caused by the ineptitude of the PDP administration should be the right the thing to do for them”.

Listing some of Governor AbdulRahman’s achievements, Lade said “recently, the state executive council approved the dualization of Yebumot Al-Hikmah University-Adeta Roundabout-Oloje road to ease traffic gridlock, lessen travel time, and support industrialization potentials of the state. Upgrade of Gbugbu market in Edu Local Government Area of the state to an international market, Patigi Regatta Hotel. With so much boldness and sincerity, we are proud to say there’s no local government in Kwara State where infrastructural projects are not being executed. Months ago, the Governor of Kwara State Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq flagged off the construction and rehabilitation of 700 kilometers of rural roads under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in Kwara State.

“This is a commendable project that will open up rural areas and improve social and economic activities area Until now, the General Hospital, llorin had no functional intensive care unit (1CU) facility not to talk of other state-owned hospitals. Today, the AbdulRazaq administration has delivered a 12-bed ICU that is not just the largest in North Central Nigeria but it is equipped with modern equipment”

“Whist the Governor has completed many pro-people-driven projects in the state, we are glad to tell you that some ongoing projects of the administration include the Innovation Hub, Visual
Arts Centre, Osi-Obbo Road, Garment Factory, Jebba water Works, Laffagi waterworks, Kwara radio Okuta, Alesha-Gwanara Road, new Dental and Eye facilities at llorin General Hospital, Oro General Hospital, Lafiagi General Hospital, Kishi-Kaiama Road, International Conference Centre, the Tunde ldiagbon Bridge at Tanke, Special Agro-processing Zone, garment factory, Offa Stadium upgrade, and other sporting facilities.”

“Reiteratively, a lot has happened under the leadership of Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and we assure the entire Kwarans home and abroad that the state is on course and committed to addressing the basic needs of its citizenry despite the harsh economic realities. From health sector, basic education, human capital development, a safety net for the poor, water, to general infrastructural development, which indicates that Kwara has verifiably left Egypt for the good,” Lade noted.

“However, we won’t hesitate to adopt the Governor’s re-election bid when officially announced anytime soon in his effort to consolidate his achievement and all other magnificent ongoing projects across all the nooks and crannies of the State.”
