Ministry of works and Transport setup monitoring and inspection committee
*•Inspects Aladire Street in Ubandawaki, Alaaya-Òkè ebo interlocking pavement, Ìdí Igba-aibinu-alfa yahaya Street and Dualization of Yebumot-Al-Hikmah university-Adeta Roundabout-oloje Road*
The Kwara state ministry of works and Transport has inaugurated a committee that will be inspecting and monitoring all ongoing road projects across the state
Speaking in his office, the Honourable commissioner for works and Transport, Engr. Rotimi Iliasu Suleiman said, “it is very important to have this kind of committee because there are lot of ongoing roads project accross the state”
Speaking further, the commissioner said, “There is need for synergy. The project monitoring committee are saddled with the responsibilities of monitoring ongoing government project across the state. They are not to witch-hunt, but only to report their observation directly to the office of the commissioner and make recommendation where necessary, Contractors of all ongoing projects in the state have been informed to accord them with maximum cooperation in order for them to discharge their duties affectively, the commissioner stated”
The committee while responding said, they are ready to take up the challenge because there are lot of ongoing projects across the state, adequate monitoring and supervision promotes quality assurance which will complement the good job of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq
