Over the past few weeks, I have been inundated with calls, and several private messages, from concerned individuals, mostly friends and colleagues, about the popular opinion by many Kwarans suggesting the choice of Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, as the best fit for representation of the good people of Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, at the National Assembly, come 2023.

The concerns which have been constructive are testament to the fact, that Kwarans are deliberate democrats who seek clarity of vision & mission before extending their hand of fellowship to support those aspiring for political positions at any level.

*Why Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu?*

This is the reoccurring question; and instead of offering continuous personal clarifications, I deemed it fit to let this out, for the public to know and share in my indepth understanding of her personality which has led me to the resolve that she remains the best choice to represent Ilorin East/South at the House of Representatives, 2023.

The point of embarkation is naturally, a bit of the rich legacies of a woman, who within her short stint, as Commissioner for Tertiary Education, and subsequently, as Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development has made outstanding impact in the educational landscape of Kwara leaving footprints that are glaring for all to see, embrace and accept, as indicators of genuine progress.

As a sterling administrator, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu didn’t only complement the achievements of her predecessors when she took over leadership positions, but also went miles ahead, to improve on them putting Kwara State on the map as one of the States with the fastest growing educational sectors in Nigeria.
I and many Kwarans alike have been thrilled by her recent routine presence and interaction with Teachers and Learners, in the rural schools across the 3 Senatorial districts; Kwara State is yet to have a Commissioner before her that has shown genuine concern for children in the rural communities and made frantic efforts to breach the gaps between the quality of education they access and that of their contemporaries in urban areas.

Moreso, it’s pertinent, to state that Hajia Sa’adatu posses enviable qualities that distinguish her, as an Administrator, and inimitable Politician, of note. Despite her numerous achievements, She remains as selflessly humble, with no airs of arrogance around her. The ethos of modesty and responsibility. She is self unassuming, approachable, and tactically calculative. These are rare qualities, amongst folks jostling for political offices nowadays, in our political sphere. These qualities synonymous with, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu have earned her the trust of the people and their support which she is fast riding on towards representing Ilorin East/South at the green chamber of the National Assembly.

She will earn yours too, when you get close to her through the illumination of her programs and activities which are always designed with the upliftment of the common Kwaran in mind.

Furthermore, Its worthy of mention that Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu is a perfectionist. She’s always willing to be better than she was, the day before. She sees reasons to develop others, whilst developing herself. With her at the helm, there’s no room for mediocrity.

Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency been a very central Political threshold within the Kwara fabric deserves to be led by an Individual whose antecedents speak of Prudence, Excellence and Justice; Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu perfectly fits that shoe.

A popular African adage says that “a great listener makes a better leader.” You can’t give what you don’t have. You can only afford to share what you have in abundance. Within the sureties of her intelligence, Hajia respects the perspectives of others, and is always willing to let others bloom and superior argument win always. She sees more from the perspective of those she works with, and for her, *the people are always at the centre of the development process* with her.[

A woman with these outstanding qualities, would definitely attract qualitative development to her people, through constructive and innovative representation.

The electorate is charged to like Me and scores of other Kwarans evaluate effectively Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu in comparison to other contenders and appreciate her eminent positive difference from them all. Beyond blind politics, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu is Okay… Very okay! In her, we have a formidable House of Representative Member-in-waiting, that would serve her people, with total commitment and devotion to duty.
