Hon. Mashood Mustapha, Yinka Aluko, Gbenga Power, Tunde Fadipe others bag Prudent watch award
The Senator representing Kwara South, Arc Lola Ashiru, Hon Yinka Aluko, Mashood Mustapha, TIC Chairman Isin local government, Hon Tunde Fadipe bagged Award of Excellence from Prudent Watch Media.
They received the award at Prudentwatch Annual Lecture titled “GUARDIAN OF INTEGRITY: Media’s Role in Combating Youth Fraud and Substance Abuse” held her at Nigeria Union of Journalist Press Centre, Ilorin on Friday.
The awardees were selected based on their track record and impact on the populace within their sphere of influence.
Senator Lola Ashiru, who representing Kwara South received the award as of Federal Lawmaker of the year (Senate Category)
Hon Yinka Aluko, a deserving Representative of Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal constituency received the Lawmaker of the year (House of Representatives).
Hon. Oba Abdulquadri Magaji received State Lawmaker of the year award while Hon. Abdulqowiyu Olododo was awarded Commissioner of the Year.
The Media-Friendly Personality of the year was awarded to Hon Fafoluyi Olayinka Solace, the SSA on New media to Kwara while The TIC Chairman of the was awarded to the Commited Hon. Tunde Fadipe of Isin Local Government.
Former Federal Lawmaker and APC Chieftain, Hon Mashood Mustapha bagged award of Politician of the year
The Personality of the year award was given to Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle Power while The Corporate Personality award was given t the Chairman Iliasu Ibrahim Foundation, Hon. Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu while Hon AGF Salahuddeen, representing Omupo Constituency and Hon Yusuf Maryam Aladi of Ilorin South were honoured for their outstanding performance.
The lecture delivered by duo, the CPS to the Kwara Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye represented by Mr. Mashood Abdulrafiu Agboola, and the Deputy Editor of Unilorin Bulletin, Mr. Abubakar Imam who as well represented the Director of Corporate Affairs Unilorin, Mr. Kunle Akogun.
Earlier, Mr. Lukman Abdulquadri Olarewaju, the Publisher of PrudentWatch Online appreciated the speakers, panelists and awardees for believing in their brand our the years.
Olanrewaju promised that Prudentwatch Online will continue to uphold ethics of journalism and contribute their quota towards nation building.
The distinguished panelists, including Mr. Ishola Kayode, Fafoluyi O. Solace, Aileru O. Mukail, Issa Mutolib Ayobami, and Basheer Olarewaju Lukman discussed impact of drug abuse on youth and its negative societal consequences in session moderated by Mr. Atunde Olarewaju Ahmad.
They emphasized on the crucial role of parents in addressing drug abuse and commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for his significant efforts in campaigning against drug abuse.
