We are proud of you, LG Commissioner Extols Isin Local Government chairman

The Kwara State Government has commended the Chairman of Isin Local Government Chairman Hon. (Eng) Tunde Fadipe and his Management Team on developmental projects they have been able to execute since assumption of Office.

The Honourable Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Hon Abdullahi Abubakar Bata disclosed this today at the ongoing inspection of projects executed by the 16 Local Government Councils in the State.

The Honourable Commissioner disclosed that so far he has only visited Six Local Government so far, but he was extremely surprised with the choices of projects executed by the Council. He added that all the projects he visited were legacy projects that are worthy to be emulation.

Hon. Bata further disclosed that all the projects he visited were all Community request projects which are all construction from the scratch and some have been completed while some are almost completed.

According to him, he said what we are seeing today is a further testimony of the many positive reports made available to us about the tremendous strides, and he is hopeful to see a replica of these projects in his subsequent visit to other Councils in the course of this inspection.

The Honourable Commissioner attributed these achievements to His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Kwara State,Mallam AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq (CON),Chairman,Nigeria Governors Forum who has allowed the Third tier of Government to administer their own affairs without any interference.

In her contribution The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Iyabo Modupe Adekeye congratulated the Chairman and his Management Team for their giants strides while admonishing other Councils to emulate the developmental strides for the development of the Grassroots.

Earlier in his remarks, The Chairman thanked the Honourable Commissioner and his Team for finding time to visit their projects and most importantly their interactions with the benefitting Communities to have first hand information.

The Chairman disclosed that the choices of the projects was as a result of consultation with all the relevant Stakeholders to prioritise the choice of their projects subjects to availability of funds.

Among the projects executed are construction of twin flats residence for Medical Doctors, Construction of Health Centre at Adigun, Construction of Central Medical Laboratory at Oke-Onigbin, Construction of Workshop for Department of Works at the Council Secretariat, Drilling of 8 nos of Motorised Boreholes with Tanks at different locations among others.
