Engr. Rotimi Iliasu Suleiman Commissions Motorized Borehole for Hausa Community in Jebba

In a remarkable show of community service and dedication, the former Commissioner for Works and Transport in Kwara State, Engr. Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu, has commissioned a fully functional motorized borehole for the Hausa community in Jebba, located in Moro Local Government Area.

The commissioning ceremony which held with joy and appreciation was graced by community leaders and residents including the Seriki Hausawa of Jebba, Mallam Nasir Seriki, who offered heartfelt thanks and prayers to the donor. In his words, Mallam Nasir praised Engr. Rotimi for remembering the needs of the people, especially in a time where access to clean water remains a major challenge in rural communities.

“May Allah continue to elevate and bless Engr. Rotimi Iliasu for this noble gesture. He has lightened the burden of our people,” Mallam Nasir stated during his prayer session.

Also praying for Engr. Rotimi Iliasu were Alfa Mallam Saliu and Alhaji Ayuba, they prayed for continue progress and elevation for Engr. Rotimi that even after leaving office, he still holds the people in high esteem and they prayed for Almighty Allah’s guidance on him.

Engr. Rotimi, who also holds the traditional title of the ‘Taiyese of Jebba Land, expressed his continuous commitment to community development, stressing that leadership goes beyond holding office, it’s about impact.

The borehole, now serving hundreds of residents, stands as a symbol of purposeful leadership, compassion and grassroots empowerment. Many in the Hausa community, particularly women and children, celebrated the access to clean water, noting the positive impact this project would bring to their daily lives.

As residents continue to benefit from this essential amenity, Engr. Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu’s gesture has been lauded as a model for other leaders across the state and beyond.
