Senator Mustapha ends over 10years of water scarcity in Kwara community

Senator Saliu Mustapha of Kwara Central has brought an end to over a decade of water scarcity in Odo Baba Agba Zone 2 community, Ayetoro, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, by facilitating a motorized borehole for the community.

The borehole project which was executed under the Urban & Rural Water Access Project, a strategic initiative introduced by the Senator to alleviate water scarcity in both urban and rural areas of Kwara Central.

According to the Secretary of the community, Mr. Kolapo Rasheed, the newly drilled borehole is the first of its kind in the area, despite the community being home to over 150 houses.

He noted that the community had been agitating for borehole for a very long time before Senator Saliu Mustapha came to their aid.

Mr Rasheed who commended the Senator for his commitment to grassroots development, added that the borehole will bring relief to families who have endured years of stress in search of clean and safe water.

“For more than 10 years, our community has suffered from water scarcity. Despite having over 150 houses, we’ve never had a single borehole, we’ve been agitating for this for a very long time, and today, we are grateful that Senator Saliu Mustapha has finally come to our aid. we pray that Almighty God continues to guide and guard him as he continues to represent us in the National Assembly.” he concluded.
