CAF Confederation Cup; Amb Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki extols the Resilience of Kwara United in Ghana

Ambassador Yahaya Seriki Gambari MFR has extolled the resilience, fighting spirit and patriotic zeal of players of Kwara United in their hard fought match against Asante Kotoko of Ghana.

Yahaya Seriki, a staunch supporter of the Harmony boys described their performance as very encouraging, more so when it’s on record that Kwara United is the first away team to register as many as 3 goals against the Ghanaian giants.

The business entrepreneur charged them not to see their slim 4-3 loss as a set back but rather a challenge to secure an emphatic win in next Sunday’s return leg in Abeokuta.

He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq CON for being a Pillar of support for Ilorin based team.

AMBA as he is fondly called, also appealed to fans and supporters of the Afonja Warriors to troop to the MKO ARENA in Abeokuta in large numbers on Sunday to drum massive support for the Harmony boys.

Kwara United this evening in Accra narrowly lost 4-3 to Asante Kotoko in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Sunday next week is the return leg in Abeokuta in which the Harmony boys need just a lone goal to scale through to the next round of the Continental championship.
