Kwara Governor, Senator Oloriegbe, Hon. Mashood Mustapha and others condoles with Balogun Alanamu Family and the Emirates
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has mourned the death of the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi Jos, describing him as a quintessential statesman who used his influence and resources for common good.
“His Excellency received the news of the death of Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin with sadness and submission to the will of Allah swt . His exit has stripped our community of one of its most respected elders. Nevertheless, we submit to the will of Allah and thank Him for giving the late Balogun Alanamu such an eventful and impactful life in the service of the community,” according to the Governor’s condolence message.
The Senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Dr. Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Ilorin Emirate, particularly, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, and the immediate family of deceased Balogun Alanamu, Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi Jos who died early this morning.
The lawmaker described the death of the traditional chief as a huge loss to Ilorin, noting that, he will be remembered for his uncommon leadership, wisdom, and courage.
According to him “I received with pain and shock the news of the demise of our father who until his death was a unifier that strengthened and sustained the bridges of unity, love, and friendship among his subjects.
“As the most-ranked traditional chief in Emirate, he worked in concert with the His Royal Highness and offered counsels as well as fatherly guidance for the peace, unity, and growth of the community.
“We are consoled by the fact that he lived a purposeful life dedicated to the service of humanity and provided credible leadership that had positive impacts on the people.
Chairman of Crystal Group of Companies and chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon. Mashood Mustapha (MM) fimc, has expressed sadness over the death of Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi Jos and sympathies with Emir of Ilorin, family of the deceased and entire Ilorin Emirate.
The former national lawmaker, described the late Balogun as a man of peace that contributed immensely to the development of Emirate, Kwara and Nigeria as a whole.
According to him, ” Alhaji Abubakar Akanbi Jos would be well-remembered for his outstanding contribution to the peaceful coexistence of people of Ilorin Emirate, development of kwara and his forthright in addressing issues”
He added that, “Alhaji Abubakar was a role model, whose lifestyle of simplicity and compassion will remain fresh in people memory”
He, sympathized with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the magajis, people of Ilorin Emirate and kwarans as a whole and prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased and those before him Aljanah fridous and grant his families and friends, the fortitude to bear the loss.
