Engr Femi Sanni Araba Submits Letter of Intent For Kwara Governorship Under APC

Engr. Femi Sanni Araba has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the submission of his letter of intent at the party’s state secretariat.

The visit, which took place today, saw Engr. Sanni received by members of the State Working Committee of the party, led by the State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi. The meeting marked a significant step in his political ambition, as he officially signaled his readiness to join the race for the state’s top seat.

Speaking during the visit, Engr. Femi Sanni Araba pledged to be a unifying figure within the party and across the state if given the mandate. He emphasized his commitment to building on the achievements of the current administration under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, noting that continuity and consolidation of ongoing developmental efforts remain key to Kwara’s progress.

He assured party leaders of his dedication to strengthening internal cohesion within the APC while also fostering inclusive governance that accommodates the interests of all stakeholders.

In his response, the APC State Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, welcomed Engr. Sanni’s aspiration and commended his decision to follow due process by formally notifying the party of his intention.

Prince Fagbemi further assured that the party remains committed to fairness and transparency, stating that all aspirants would be given a level playing ground during the party primaries. He reiterated the leadership’s resolve to uphold internal democracy, ensuring that the eventual candidate emerges through a credible and acceptable process.

The development adds to the growing list of aspirants positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State, as political activities continue to gather momentum within the APC and across other parties.
