Hon. Sulaimon Gadaff takes sports to grassroot

The leading APC chairmanship aspirant, hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff has took football to grassroot, through Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff Football Tournament, which was organized to unite, embrace and develop youths in Asa, hence, sport is globally threading as a means of communicating the need for peaceful coexistence among people at the global space.

It’s on this basis that, hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff leveraged on sporting activities – particularly football to promote peace, love and tranquility among Asa youths, with which translate to unity among the constituents – the youths.

The tournament which kick started on 24th of February and ends on Saturday 6th of March 2021.

The tournament which its final was played at the Afon Township Stadium Asa, the final stage recorded a huge success, while dignitaries personality registered their foot to the pitch, the crowd was amazing as expected, owing to the general acceptance of hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff by his people.

The final match was played between Aboto Ward(Team Gadaff) and Otte Balla Ward(Team Governor ) however, team Mall. Abdulrahma Abdulrazaq (Team Governor) after a long and superb engagement with their counterpart from Aboto Ward, (team Gadaff) of which after the 90minutes goalless draw, the teams played their penalty shoot out, which at last (team governor) came out victorious.

Subsequently, the tournament Cup and N40,000 cash prize was presented to the winner team by Barr. Salma Jawando the immediate past Attorney general and Commissioner for Justice, Kwara State.

Also, team Gadaf, which came out second at the tournament went home with the sum of N20,000 naira, the highest goalscorer at the tournament was proudly appreciated too.

Later, while speaking, hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff, gave adorations to God and appreciated all dignitaries personality present. “He said, today is historic as we bring together young people, who are passionate about sport to show case their potentials and maximize their respective potentials to develop the state and the country in general. This is part of the little I can do as young person in politics world, hence, it’s geared towards empowering our youth and also motivate them to always redouble their efforts on the pitch, so as to come out victorious all times”.

Very importantly, “I appreciate the personality of Barr. Salma Jawando, Alh. Issa Amosa, Amb. Majeed Temidire(Aburo Gomina), Mr. Toheed(commissioner 1), Alh. Sulaimon Atanda Kewurepete, Alh. Muslihu, Alh. Saka Akande, Alh. Turawa, Alh. Saka Isemi, Alh. Gani Afon, Hon. Abdulkareem Abdulkareem(Nigerian Youths Parliament Abuja), Comr. Ibrahim Hibest(Vice Chairman NANS Kwara), Comr. Aratumi, all other dignitaries who are unavoidably absent, all Asa youths, the Nigerian Youths, Students and my ever supportive supporters across the state, you’re all appreciated.
