Gobir Mourns KWASU VC, Prof. Akanbi

The Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party YPP in Kwara, Waziri Yakubu Gobir has mourned the death of Kwara State University Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi (SAN).

Alhaji Yakubu Gobir in a statement issued on Monday described Professor Akanbi’s death as a rude shock to him, a colossal loss to the entire Ilorin Emirate, Kwara and to Nigeria as a whole.

According to Gobir, the late Akanbi was an experienced leader who made rich contributions to the nation’s development before his demise. Every moment of his life was dedicated to the service of his community and the nation.

“May Allah be pleased with him, forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah Firdaus. May Allah comfort the family and grant them the fortitude to bear this great and irreparable loss.” he said.
