Oba of Jebba Expresses Gratitude to Kwara Governor over completion of Jebba water works

…project ready for commissioning says Hon Lade

The Kwara State Government has expressed satisfaction with the just completed Jebba Water Works in Moro Local Government Area.

The state Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade stated this when he paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to the project.

It could be recalled that His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as people’s oriented Governor, initiated the project as a result of the yarning of the people of the area.

The Commissioner after taking a tour of the entire facility commended the contractor handling the already completed project for delivering a good job.

Honourable Lade who was also at the Palace of Oba Jebba, His Royal Highness, Oba (Alhaji) Abdulkadir Alabi Adebara, after inspecting the work informed the Oba that in a few weeks times, the Water Works project will be handed over to the state government for commissioning.

Lade solicited the support and cooperation of His Royal Highness to continue to guide and protect the project when finally handed over to the community for use.

Responding, His Royal Highness, Oba of Jebba, Alhaji Abdulkadir Alabi Adebara, expressed appreciation to the state government for the construction of water works for his people.

Oba Adebara who went down memory lane described the project as a long-time aspiration of his people which previous administrations failed to carry out which Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has now been able to do within the shortest time.

He said that they have since been enjoying drinkable water for some months as the contractor has been doing test-running of the facility after completion.

Earlier, the representative of the contractor handling the project, Engineer Samuel Nebechukwu, who took the commissioner round the facility explained all the stages of operations of the facility to the Commissioner and his team.

The President of Jebba Descendant Union, Mr. Abdulkareem Yusuf Abdulmale, thanked the state government for providing them with a potable water supply, adding that His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s name has already been written in gold.

In the Commissioner’s company was the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Asonibare Omolola Christiana; Director of Water Engineering Services, Engr. Wopa Yusuf; Engr. Dotun Abioye; Engr. Mohammed Mustapha; and Engr. Adeyemo Tajudeen.
