20years after, KWSG begins Renovation of RUWASSA
• Hon Lade inspects project, charges contractor on quality delivery
Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, has carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing renovation of the State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Ilorin.
The Commissioner said Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is renovating the office because of his passion for improving the welfare of the workers and to attract partnerships, locally and internationally, to support the WASH sector in the state.
Lade said the renovation of the complex was last carried out in 2004 by UNICEF, which was twenty years ago.
He stated that the renovation of the edifice was going to be carried out in phases, adding that the first phase has just been started after which phase two will begin.
Lade assured the contractor handling the project of the state government’s preparedness to give the edifice the expected facelift.
He urged the Contractor to do the work diligently and according to the terms of the agreement given to them.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of work carried out so far, stressing that the government was ready to support the contractor in delivering a quality job for the state.
Earlier, the representative of the contractor handling the project, Engr. Musa Surajudeen, who took the Commissioner and his team around the facilities, pledged to deliver quality service by the specifications and stipulated completion period.
