Suspected rapists, Killers of Unilorin student appears in court

The eight suspected rapists and killers of a University of Ilorin 300 level Olajide Blessing, were today arraigned before a Kwara State High Court presided over by Justice Adebayo Yusuf.

They were charged to court on eleven count charge including criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, rape, culpable homicide, theft & possession of proceeds of armed robbery.

Sobi FM’s Judiciary Correspondent, Kayode Adeoti, reports that the prosecution team led by the Anthony General and Commissioner for Justice of the State, Barrister Salman Jawondo, in his submission, promised to get legal representatives for the suspects who do not have against the next adjourned date.

The court, however adjourned the case till 6th of next month on this basis while the suspects were ordered to be remanded in Mandala Correctional facility.

It would be recall that deceased was gruesomely gang raped and murdered at her Tanke, off campus residence, a month ago.
