Tourism Tour: Gadaff Leads Youth to Kwara Tourism site, Imoleboja Rock Shelter
The youth mobilizer, and APC chairmanship aspirant in Asa local government area council hon Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff, led Youths across the tertiary institutions in the state and beyond to Imoleboja Rock Shelter, Kajola community Odo Owa Kwara State.
Speaking, on the benefits of the tourism tour, hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff maintained that, the tour will avail young people alike to explore beyond their immediate environment, therefore giving them unique opportunity to get to know the nature.
“Today, we have all learned the historical narrative of this mighty Imoleboja Rock Shelter, from its custodians, which had availed us all the benefits of nature. It’s my believe that, as young people this tour will increase our knowledge on its history, as against all tales been told from those who know little or nothing about this mighty rock. Anything you see or hear from the custodians are facts about this mighty Imoleboja Rock”. He said.
Later, the spokesperson for the community, Chief M.O Ashaolu explained the full historical narration of the rock for the tourists. After, he urged the government to develop the area and improve the site. He maintained that, the tourism site alone if well utilized and maintained is enough for the local government to survive considering the enormous revenue generation the site will drive.
The tour was in partnership with Inspector Turawa and Friends tour, a leading tour manager in the state.
The convener of I.T.F.T, speaking on behalf of the co-conveners , Turawa Kamaldeen Olaitan (Inspector Turawa and Friends Tour), maintained that the tourism site, Imoleboja Rock Shelter is one of the team’s target since the team operation in the state, appreciated Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff for his kindness and support towards the successful of the tour, also for support the mission of the team.
“Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff accepted our idea and mobilize support through sponsorship of the tour. I must appreciate his rare gestures” Inspector Turawa, added.
On his part, the Board chairman, Kwara Herald, Alh. Tunde Aluko promise the community of the government proactive on the site, saying that the present administration is working around the clock in ensuring that, all Kwara Tourism site, became a global focus for all. “Be rest assured of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq readiness in repositioning the state’s tourism sites”. He said.
Also, Mr. Hammed Babatunde, the H.O.U department of political science, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, urged hon. Gadaff to remain steadfastness in his idea of raising young people, who will be responsible for the growth of their various community. He advised the participated youths, to be up and doing in their dealings as responsible young people. “Today is however memorable, as such I look forward to see you all championing the world of tourism”. He added.
The tour was massively participated by youths in the state.
