BEING THE TEXT OF PRESS ADDRESS ON THE CONDUCT OF WARD CONGRESSES IN THE STATE BY ALH. ABDULLAHI SAMARI, (APC STATE CARETAKER CHAIRMAN

Gentlemen of the Press

In line with Articles 11:A sub section (1 – x 111) and article 16 (1) of the Party Constitution (as amended) the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara will be organizing its congresses across the Sixteen Local Government Area in Kwara State as directed by the Caretaker/ Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the Party under the Leadership of Alh. Mai Mala Buni, the Executives Governor of Yobe State.

The Committee, in a bid to ensure open, credible and fair Congresses that reflect, the sanctity of Internal Democracy in the Party, has issued a guideline for the Conduct of the Congresses of the Party in the States. This guideline will be strictly enforced in the State to ensure fair Participation by all members who can vote and be voted for.

It is pertinent to, therefore let members know that the ward congress slated for 31st July, 2021 will definitely hold in Kwara State with strictly compliance with the Congress Guideline that will be made available to all the Party Members through the State and Local Government Party Secretariat.

The Ward Congress Committee, as appointed by the Caretakers/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee are already in the state to carry out their assignment in line with the guidelines. To ensure fairness and Good Participation, three Members Committee are drawn from other states of the federation. The committee has a Chairman, Secretary and one other Member to carry out this exercise in the State.

All interested Contestants are advised to purchase forms from the state party secretariat henceforth.

Finally I want to appeal to all members of the party to eschew bitterness and ensure peaceful conduct of the exercise.
